Lauren Schantz

Lauren Schantz is an associate who practices in the firm’s civil litigation and business groups.  In her litigation practice, she handles disputes involving member and shareholder information requests and derivative demands; breach of fiduciary duty claims and other business torts; misappropriation of trade secrets; enforcement of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements; and general contract enforcement.  As part of her business practice, Lauren enjoys helping clients with entity formation and dissolution, as well as routine corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining RCD, Lauren served as the Senior Law Clerk to the Honorable Louis A. Bledsoe, III, Chief Business Court Judge (retired), and the Honorable Adam M. Conrad, Special Superior Court Judge for Complex Business Cases, for the North Carolina Business Court.  She also served as the Assistant Secretary and Corporate Governance Advisor for Carilion Clinic, a regional health care system in Virginia.  Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys spending time with her two sons, supporting initiatives designed to raise awareness about ASD-1, and fostering kittens for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control.
