Rick Rayburn Speaks at North Carolina Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Institute
Rick Rayburn, a member of RCD’s Bankruptcy practice group, is scheduled to speak on November 7, 2014, at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 37th Annual Bankruptcy Institute, an annual continuing legal education program. Rick and his co-presenters, Lee Hogewood of K&L Gates, LLP and Joe Calloway of Battle Winslow Scott & Wiley, P.A., will deliver the topic “Negotiating a Section 363 Asset Sale and Financing a Sale Process Before and During a Bankruptcy Proceeding,” discussing the out-of-court negotiations that may result in a proposed Section 363 sale, financing a case from petition to a 363 sale closing, and developing sales procedures that enhance the prospect of generating the most value for the estate from the often differing, but sometimes aligned, perspectives of the debtor/trustee, the purchaser/stalking horse, and the unsecured creditors’ committee.
